FOOTWERX was founded and launched over 11 years ago, by Darrell Williams, Producer, Director and Choreographer, along with his daughter, D’Andria. Consisting of 13 youth dancers in 2007, Footwerx currently has evolve to over 50 members, ranging from 8 years old to 50+ years young! The show began in 2007 and debuted at  Bogey’s Country Club   in New Jersey and has successfully moved their annual performances to the Avenue of Arts in Philadelphia at The Arts Bank (Christmas Show), Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Summer Tap Intensive)

 

  FOOTWERX is a one of a kind program which was designed to challenge and inspire our talented dancers, who all reside in the Tri- state area. Our staff recognizes each dancer as an individual and focuses on their natural talents and abilities in a fun, encouraging and supportive atmosphere. FOOTWERX (Tap Intensive) was created to allow students to excel beyond their abilities that they cannot get in a regular yearly curriculum.

  

  Unlike traditional companies, Footwerx, pioneer of Tap Theater (a theme based production) in the Tri-State area, reassures every audience an unpredictable and unique performance which includes group improvisations, spontaneous and choreographed movements, while incorporating acting, gestures and dance.
